Brings a Taste of Colorado to Chandler

Chandler, AZ (October 21, 2004) - - - Bold Colorado tastes and southwest flavors are brought to the East Valley with the opening of Firebirds Rocky Mountain Grill. The Chandler restaurant, located in the Chandler Fashion Center, will open for operation on Monday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. This will mark the company’s third Firebirds in the Arizona market.

Known for the bold flavors of the Rockies and southwest, Firebirds’ signature sauces, Chipotle peppers, and ancho chilies are at the center of the award-winning cuisine. Specialties include Lobster Spinach Queso, Pecan Crusted Trout, Chile Rubbed Delmonico and Crème Brulee Cheesecake. Firebirds also features its own private reserve Napa Valley Red and Chardonnay White wine.

A 6,800 square foot Aspen-style lodge springs to life in the desert combining contemporary rustic architectural accents in a warm inviting atmosphere. High wooden beams, stone fireplaces and an open-air kitchen also add to the feel of being in a Colorado ski lodge. The Chandler Firebirds seats 225 people and features an outdoor patio complete with fireplace.

Firebirds Rocky Mountain Grill first opened its doors in December of 2000 with its flagship store in Charlotte, NC where they are also based. The Chandler location is the company’s seventh Firebirds store nationwide. “We very excited to be opening in such a thriving location and look forward to becoming part of the Chandler community,” says Larry Rodriguez, Managing Partner.

This past summer, Firebirds Peoria, AZ location won the readers’ choice award for “Best of The Valley” 2004 by Phoenix Magazine in 4 categories. Firebirds was awarded the title for “Best New Restaurant,” “Best Burger,” “Best Business Lunch” and tied for “Best Steakhouse!”

Firebirds International, LLC currently has 3 sites under construction including Birmingham, AL; Raleigh, NC and Omaha, NE. More sites under selection and negotiation include north Charlotte, NC; Greenville, SC; Memphis – Collierville, TN; Kansas City, KS; Madison, WI; Little Rock, AR and the suburbs of Washington, DC.
