FIREBIRDS® CLOSER TO SOUTHWESTERN ROOTS IN ARIZONA
(CHARLOTTE, NC)

Firebirds Rocky Mountain Grill, a Colorado themed restaurant based out of Charlotte, NC opened its fourth Firebirds store in Phoenix, Arizona on September 29th, 2003. The Arizona locale takes the company closer to its Colorado Southwestern themed roots with this most recent restaurant opening. Situated off Bell Road and Interstate 101, the 7,000 square foot free-standing restaurant sits across from the Peoria Sports complex in Southwest, Arizona, the spring training facility for the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. The 225 seat store, located in a very strong growth suburb outside of Phoenix, is complimented by a neighboring 23 screen movie theater.

Incorporating the flavor of bold sauces, Chipotle peppers and Ancho chiles, Firebirds proudly features the unique taste of Colorado and the Rocky Mountains. The open-air kitchen, complete with wood-burning grills, wood-fired pizza ovens and rotisseries, features cooking derived from the Rockies and Southwest. Highlights include aged, hand-cut steaks, prime rib, fresh seafood, rotisserie chicken, homemade pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salads. Reminiscent of a Colorado lodge, with high vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and stone fireplace, the atmosphere at Firebirds is every bit as inviting as the food. Outdoor patio dining will also be available.

In addition to the three existing Firebirds (Charlotte, NC; Durham, NC and Richmond, VA) and the fourth locale in Peoria, construction is also underway in Memphis, TN and Tucson, AZ. The company also has signed locations in Raleigh, NC and Phoenix, AZ. Two additional sites under negotiation include another property in Phoenix, AZ and Birmingham, AL.
